TOWN BOARD MEETING
MADGE TOWN HALL
1/11/2012
Chairman, Mike Baker, called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. Board, Clerk & Treasurer were present. Citizens present – Roger Koerner. The minutes from the last Board Meeting were read and approved. Treasurer’s report was given.
COUNTY REPRESENTATIVES REPORT: None
CITIZEN COMMENTS: Roger Koerner-Sanding the Town Roads
PLAN COMMISSION REPORT: Review the Land Division Ordinance. Recommend it be shown to the attorney. Nate Coller would like to become a member.
DISCUSSION WITH POSSIBLE ACTION:
1. Appoint Plan Commission Member– Chairperson, Mike Baker, would like to appoint Nate Coller to the Plan Commission. Bill Lennox made a motion to approve Nate Coller for the Plan Commission. Seconded by Jay Hands. Motion passed with 3 yes and 0 no.
2. Sign Assessment Plan – Put the roads into quarters and do one quarter each year from 2012-2015. $4000 budgeted each year. Jay Hands made a motion to approve the Sign Replacement Plan. Seconded by Bill Lennox. Motion passed with 3 yes and 0 no.
3. District Meeting – February 4, 2012 in Siren. Mike, Jay, Bill and Michelle.
4. Land Division Ordinance – Went over during the Plan Commission Report
5. Adopt Hazard Mitigation Plan Resolution #2012-01 – Bill Made a motion to adopt Resolution #2012-01. Seconded by Jay Hands. Motion passed with 3 yes and 0 no.
6. Road Tour Date – March 31, 2012 - Depending on the weather
7. Town Hall – Nothing new
8. Old Business –
· Received a tire bill from Bubba’s
· Emergency management – Jay will be attending the training in January
· Food Pantry sent a thank you for the donation
· Treasurers Bond – 6 of the Towns are by ordinance the rest are insured. Will look into more
9. CORESPONDANCE:
· CUP for rental property – put on agenda for next meeting
· Cutting Permits
CITIZENS COMMENTS: None
BILLS: Bill Lennox made a motion to pay all bills as presented. Seconded by Jay Hands. Motion passed with 3 yes and 0 no.
